At various events, we demonstrate weaving and spinning in order to get awareness and to tell people about our weaving branch. If you help at one of these events, there will be a warped loom with the weft available. You can weave on the loom or bring your own spinning wheel, inkle loom or card loom.

Good news! We will be attending the St George Arts Festival on 19 – 20 April 2019 (Friday and Saturday) and demonstrate weaving and give out brochures. This is an INCREDIBLE opportunity to get information about our group to the public! The St George Arts Festival is very well attended.

There wil be two shifts per day: 10 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm.

You can spin or weave or both. There should be more than one person on a shift. We have have the following there for you to use: the loom, stand, table, chairs, handouts, shuttle, weft and weaving samples that people can touch. You will both weave and also encourage people to try weaving. The kids are especially enthusiastic. Hand out flyers about the group to people that are interested.
